BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS DAMAGED GREENHOUSES

Milos Stojkovic, member of Palilula Municipal Council, visited village households in Cokot and Donje Medjurovo because of the recent bad weather during the beginning of this year. Bad weather, followed with strong wind and snow, damaged more than 1000 greenhouses, emphasized Zoran Petrovic and Aleksandar Kovacevic from Cokot village.

After visiting agricultural households of the residents of these villages, mostly involved in vegetable growing, Milos Stojkovic announced the forming of five member Municipal commission that will have for its aim to determine the range of damage. In the work of this commission, according to Stojkovic, the representatives of Republic agricultural inspection of Nisava Administrational District will take part. Since the damage that was done in Cokot and Donje Medjurovo was not declared as natural disaster, emphasizes Stojkovic, we will write the records and documents and ask from Ministry of agriculture and Serbian Government – Sector for emergency situations to take into account the possibility of compensations for agricultural workers.
